Tourney Reflections

This March Madness has been more like March Bad-ness. With the exception of every game that West Virginia has been a part of, there have not been any memorable finishes. I remember last Sunday when each team won by 9+ points during one 4-game playing period. The Wake-WVU game was incredible and possibly exciting enough to make up for a shitty opening 4 days, especially since I bet heavy on Wake (-4) at half which they covered by 8 points or so.

Kansas almost pulled off a Hill to Laetner finish, Cuse got upset, Carolina rolled and I tore up both of my brackets. That was my summary for the 4 days. Sure, I drank enough to kill a small cow but I remember most of what I watched.

Some suprising trends:
Big Ten actually has a decent chance of grabbing 3/8ths or 37.5% of the Elite Eight spots.
The two remaining Big East teams aren't UConn and SU but WVU and Villanova.
The biggest shocker for me wasnt Vermont or Bucknell, but Cincinatti and Bob Huggins actually advancing to the second round for the first time in 17 years.
Wake lost, didn't see that one coming. Gonzaga yes of course, Wake not so much.

Villanova v UNC tomorrow.............Dan v EA.........Big East v ACC....a storybook finish.
